  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 tbsp yeast Active or regular yeast can be used.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pcs egg
  • 50 ml oil Any cooking oil can be used.
  • 1 cup warm milk Milk should be lukewarm, not hot.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Warm the milk until it’s lukewarm. Add the yeast and sugar to the milk and mix well.
  2. In a big bowl, add the flour, egg, salt, and oil.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture into the bowl and mix everything into a sticky dough.
  4. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Serving
  1. Serve homemade bread warm with butter or jam, or pair it with soups and salads.
Storage
  1. To store your homemade bread, keep it in a plastic bag at room temperature for a couple of days. For longer storage, freeze it tightly wrapped in foil or a freezer bag.

Notes

Make sure your milk is just warm, not hot, to help the yeast grow. If the dough feels too wet, add more flour; if it's too dry, add a bit of warm water. Don't skip the kneading step for better texture.
