  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Colored sprinkles or icing for decoration Use different colors to make cookies more festive.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Gently flatten the balls with the bottom of a glass to form cookies.
  8. Add sprinkles or icing on top for decoration.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
  2. Let the cookies cool before serving.

Notes
