Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together.
- In a larger bowl, cream the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat the eggs in one at a time and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and blend well.
- Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts if you’re using them.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto ungreased baking pans.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.

Serve Christmas Cookies warm or allow them to cool on a festive plate. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week, or freeze them wrapped well for longer storage. If you prefer chewy cookies, take them out a little earlier. Customize with dried fruits or different types of chocolate.
